Pauline Lawton Art

Pauline lawton ArtColour, textiles, distressed patterns and shapes are what excites me and my paintings are contemporary interpretations of the landscape and coastline surrounding my recent move to Kirkcudbright, as well as my journeys in Europe and Morocco. Images and sketchbooks emerge as I search for information/ideas that will remind me of something more than a representational inspiration. I work in acrylics and mixed media, with textured surfaces and strong colours to achieve the effect I seek. See website for more details

Margaret S Milligan

Margaret MilliganI am an oil and pastel painter. I love still life, portraits and life drawing is a passion. I work and teach in the beautiful “Artist’s Town” of Kirkcudbright in Galloway, Scotland.

Like most artists I am attracted to the play of light. I work in Winsor and Newton Artisan, water mix able oils to avoid as many nasty chemicals as possible.
