Julie Hollis 
Julie moved to Kirkcudbright in 2020, bringing with her a love of locality and environment which she expresses in her work. Most of Julie’s artwork are intimate views of local places – woodlands, hedgerows and shorelines. Heather M Nisbet Art

Heather produces contemporary oil and acrylic paintings, in vibrant colour, from her studio in Kirkcudbright and exhibits in Kirkcudbright and elsewhere in Scotland. Ochre Gallery & Studio

Ochre is the working studio and gallery landscape artist Richard Brinley. Situated in the historic heart of Kirkcudbright, Scotland’s Artists Town. Ochre Gallery and studio is a welcoming space where you are invited to view Richard’s paintings of Galloway as well as seeing work in progress. Ochre also has the work of other artists and craftspeople on display including textiles, ceramics, wood, photography and a selection of second-hand art book. You can also pop into discuss commissioning a painting of your favourite view.

George Lawson

geoLawsonSelf taught artist originally from the North East of England, whose job brought him to Kirkcudbright and he subsequently retired here. He has a lifelong love of art with a particular interest in water colour painting. His works are often to be seen in the Harbour Cottage Gallery and in the Tolbooth Art Centre.

Trevor Leat

leatLiving in Auchencairn Trevor is one of the foremost creators of willow sculptures in the UK. Using traditional techniques combining beauty with functionality, Trevor has been weaving willow to great effect for over 30 years. He is best known for his giant willow sculptures which are a feature of the Wickerman Festival and other events.

hazel_c1Hazel Campbell has lived and worked in Galloway for most of her adult life, has developed her own vigorous style of painting. She runs painting schools during the summer from her studio on the family farm.

Urpu Sellar

UrpuBorn in Finland, and now residing near Kirkcudbright, Urpu creates ceramic ‘sculptures’ mainly animals, birds and fishes. Her works are often humerous and a little tongue-in-cheek, and have proved popular, particularly in Kirkcudbright’s White House Gallery.

angelaAn accomplished artist and one time resident of Kirkcudbright Angela now lives in a nearby village and has opened a Studio-Gallery in Castle Douglas. She works in all mediums and has a variety of styles.

Pauline Lawton Art

Pauline lawton ArtColour, textiles, distressed patterns and shapes are what excites me and my paintings are contemporary interpretations of the landscape and coastline surrounding my recent move to Kirkcudbright, as well as my journeys in Europe and Morocco. Images and sketchbooks emerge as I search for information/ideas that will remind me of something more than a representational inspiration. Previously a life-long resident of Glasgow, Morag Macpherson Textiles are now based in the picturesque ‘artists town’ of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway. WASPS Studios fantastic development on the High Street has been an inspirational place for Morag and her work.

Jane B. Gibson, RMS

janeGibsonPainter. Born in Smithton, Tasmania, 1954, Jane has lived in Kirkcudbright since 1959 where she now has a studio which is open to the public. Artist in Residence to the Dorothy L Sayers Society, she is highly acclaimed for landscapes, portraits and other works in oil, watercolour and pastel, and for her Fine Art miniatures.

Margaret S Milligan

Margaret MilliganI am an oil and pastel painter. I love still life, portraits and life drawing is a passion. I work and teach in the beautiful “Artist’s Town” of Kirkcudbright in Galloway, Scotland.

Like most artists I am attracted to the play of light. I work in Winsor and Newton Artisan, water mix able oils to avoid as many nasty chemicals as possible.

Delya M Randall

Delya M Randall has been working as an Artist in Kirkcudbright for 10 years.
